Andy Dye Signature Championship Course
The Arkansas State Parks Travel and Tourism Commission brought The Dye Design Group to Northeast Arkansas to design another signature championship golf course. The twenty seven hole golf course enthralls with the prevailing beauty of the State Park at Village Creek. Village Creek curls throughout the golf course allowing the golfer to savor the scenic state park while enjoying a round of resort golf.
Beginning May 1st, 2010, the course will begin seeking consideration for a National Ranking as one of America's Best New Golf Courses!
The golf course is conveniently located less than one hour from Memphis, and less than two hours from Little Rock or only fifteen minutes from I-40, on 600 acres of wooded Natural State beauty within the Village Creek State Park in Wynne, Arkansas.

Joe Jemsek | Golf Course Designer | Consultant on this project to Andy Dye
"Constructed within Village Creek State Park, the golf course is located on geological formation named Crowely’s Ridge a sandy pre-historic ridge running from Southern Missouri through Eastern Arkansas. The project was envisioned as the next great muni, a people’s “Alotian”, but with out triple digit greens fee. The course is routed through dense forest over superb topography with deep valleys and broad ridges. Off the tee, “cape” style strategy is a constant, but the course’s difficulty lies in the approaches to small, well guarded, and undulating greens.
Holes of Note:
West Course
3rd hole – Downhill dogleg right par 4 around an old logging camp fits naturally into the native hillside.
4th hole – Roller coaster “S” style par 4.5 plays up and down through a naturally saddle to a well protected green site.
6th Hole – My personal favorite is a dogleg right around a meandering stream. The fairway is split sideways by a zoysia ridge and pot bunkers. The narrow green is terraced into the hillside sloping from left to right.
North Course
8th Hole – Difficult downhill dogleg left par five plays over cross bunkers to a fairway, flanked with bunkers between first and second landing areas.
9th Hole – This could be one of the most difficult par 4.5 finishing holes on any Dye course in the world! The tee shot plays around a large lake to an angled fairway reminiscent to the 18th at Crooked Stick. The second plays left over and around a creek to an elevated green.
East Course (Opening Spring 2010)
3rd Hole – A short par four plays along a crooked creek to a green which is elevated at the base of the hillside. Four or five bunkers separate the fairway running straight form the green positioned to the .
9th Hole – This may the best finishing hole without a bunker. A longish dogleg right par 4 plays off the side of the high ridge down to a lake"
